Celebration Events
Celebration of success is an important aspect of the project. This provides a useful platform to engage the wide school community and Councillors to the aims of the project. Atkins helped Tetsworth School, Thame to be the first to gain Level 2 of the Energy Saving Trust Certification for Schools Scheme. The school is the smallest in the county with 36 pupils on the roll. The local MP Boris Johnson presented the school with their certificate. The school had also achieved their Silver Eco School award. This was in part due to their energy work.
Despite being an old Victorian school participation in the scheme led to a saving of 11‰ in their fist year and a further 5‰ in the second year.
